La alphabet LSQ:

• Very similar to the ASL alphabet.
• Slight differences in typical production for the following letters: A G M N X
• However, production of these letters would be recognizable/accepted in ASL.
• Accents involve modifications.
  • Accent grave (`)
    • À
  • Accent aigu (´)
  • Accent circonflexe (^)
  • Cédille (ç)
  • Tréma/dieresis (ë, ï, ü)

(Note: I’ll have to find other example videos outlining how the other accents would be handled when fingerspelled.)

Grammaire LSQ:

Note that this is different from what is typically seen in ASL where MY NAME __ is acceptable.

Possessives in LSQ are produced with a P-HS as opposed to a CLOSED-5-HS.
